So far there are 98 comments and here are a couple of them ..

Maybe it would be good as part of the conference call to discuss these comments.

So many non Originals think that the Originals get free handouts of everything ..

- free housing (not true!) A lot of Originals are homeless .. and on reserve if they can get a mortgage for a house then they are paying or renting a house ..


- don't pay any taxes (only if Original and employed on the reserve .. no income tax paid) .. (whereas I feel Originals should not have to pay taxes anywhere on TurtleIsland)

- medical and dental .. this is an area where lots benefits are denied ..

This is so assinine. There are clearly three tiers of people in Canada. Natives, then Immigrants, and then the rest of us invaders of European Descent. It's the Europeans who seem to have little or no rights anymore.

I would also like to point out that Canada's indiginous people were living like their anscestors of 10,000 years earlier...meanwhile the Europeans had developed sophisticated populations, technology, and the ability to grow in population dating back thousands of years...

And somehow it is our debt to the 12,000 indiginous people to have the right to live on this giant landmass?

When is enough going to be enough? IMHO, the first nations people can either choose to live a European lifestyle with our help or live like savages on their own.

They choose to live in squalor. These bands are given huge chunks of money from things like power generation and crown monies, and yet the northern reserves for instance don't want a road to be built to the rest of civilization because their young people will leave.

Ridiculous.

When is the past of 200 years ago not going to follow us around like a bad dream? When are we going to move forward?
