To all of the Traditionalists who for nearly a thousand years preserved the message from the Creator that will enable the planet and us to survive. The Survival Book lets us see what for us is the most important of these threads in action, and presents its information in such a way that we can immediately put what we learn to work. The reason for doing this becomes plain when we recognize that at the core of everything lies the Covenant. And the Spiritual Ark that floats at the center of the core itself is the place where we make use of amazing Prophecies, Instructions, and Warnings. With these, everyone in the world can find answers to life and its continuance.

Everyone who has known about the mentioned bits of Hopi Prophecy has waited anxiously for the whole of it to be revealed. Some, I fear, have given up hoping it would happen. If they have known about the Spiritual Ark, their anticipation would have been much greater. Even without this information, those who have held onto the hope want passionately to compare what the Hopi tells us with the Bible Prophecies and with prophets such as Nostradamus or Edgar Cayce.

From all that has happened in the struggle, it does seem clear that there is "something out there" which does not want the world to hear the Hopi message of survival ~ more expressly, which does not want you to know about it. Their goal is to see that no one will be equipped to adequately deal with what is happening now, and will surely happen in worse measure in the near future. Evil does that kind of thing. I will be surprised if, as you read this book, you do not get the uncanny feeling they are after you, knowing something you don't know yet, and believing that you are as involved in what happens from here on out as the Traditionalist elders are. White education has steered nearly all of them so thoroughly into the Anglo culture they know longer what the true Maasaw said.

This is the key to the secret, for it reveals that, while the Creator tells us what is richly deserved and so is coming, He also shows us how to defeat it. Moreover, the way of survival that is offered to us satisfies all our needs. It enables us to be calm and serene in the midst of any crises, and especially during the record kinds of crises that are occurring at home and abroad today. It gives us something to keep us actively focus while the storms rage within and around us. And, the instructions give us ways to survive the cataclysmic events it appears will attend the close of the age. I explain in the introduction to the prophecies in Chapter 6 that the term "probably" is applicable here. For the moment, however, please accept that, while most other prophets are rigid in what they predict, the Hopi prophecies are surprisingly flexible and unique.

Eventually, however, you will understand as I do that, circumstances being what they are, the Creator is handling His creation in the best way possible.

The paragraphs above were taken, from here and there, from the First Chapter of The Hopi Survival Kit (Book) by Thomas E. Mails (First Edition / Copyright 1997).

I have started to read The Hopi Survival Kit book by Thomas E. Mails, and I find the book to be most inspirational and uplifting in giving me hope in surviving what is already here, and what is still to come. Many years ago, I heard of the coming of The Hopi Survival Kit book ~ and one day in 2002, while I was in a used book store in Fredericton, New Brunswick ~ there it was ~ among many other books on Native topics ~ so I bought the book. I can only hope that you tooooooo will also try and acquire a copy of The Hopi Survival Kit book by Thomas E. Mails. May our Creator be with you always.

Your replies and comments will be greatly appreciated.

I agree. The Hopi Survival Kit is a must read.

Perhaps though, if others find it difficult to find or obtain a copy, you could post the essence of a chapter now and then.

I actually have read and re-read this book and take it with me when I travel.

Not knowing what the actual missing piece of the prophecy stone symbolizes, never has bothered me very much. Curious yes, but I think there is enough of the basic instructions to get a good idea of what it means and which road to follow.

Maybe I should post a picture of the prophecy stone here for others to see? There are two sides to the stone/rock.

If anyone wants a picture posted, let me know.

ThreeFeathers, have you come to the part in the book where there are divisions among the traditionals and the progressives and how that one elder handled the situation about digging further ground?

Many a time my thoughts have drifted to ponder that story.
