From what i have read (that which i haven't posted) there is not much that has come out of china since june 2nd, the government/military have shut down web sites and so on.

It looks like canada isn't the only country with a water problem, especially with the latest report that Lake Superior is at it's lowest since 80 years ago. Is this due to the fact that there were no records before 80 years ago? I could be wrong.


The thing that still bothers me, is the money issue ie; GDP (gross domestic product) and the complete ignorant attitude that money will save the population.

Without clean water, who's going to beable to go to work? I suppose if one is working at Queen's Park (Ontario Legislature http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/200...eens-park.html), one would have free bottled water, how free? tax payer funded!

Well, here is a bit more i found...(sorry for the delay)
i found it yesterday, on a google vid. search,
as opposed to a you tube search,
and foound this one,
however, for some reason,
turtle speed interenet is not allowing me to get the whole 10 min. news clip.
(i noticed an interesting note in the info section (the part where one can see what the clip contains, and noticed something about some number of people quiting the ccp) ....haven't hear the clip tho)

Chinese Claim Mastery of Rainmaking

Drought plagued China has used an aresenal of rockets, artillery and aircraft to seed clouds and produce enough artificial rain to fill one of the countries biggest rivers four times over, the Xinhua news agency said yesterday.

China has created "the world's leading force" in artificially inducing rain to relieve droughts and fight fires, the official news agency said, citing the Nation Meteorological Bereau.

"Its aircraft alone have undertaken enough missions to fill four Yellow Rivers, China's Second largest river, in the past five years," it said.

Engineers "seed" clouds by burning chemicals such as silver iodide to induce rain to ease droughts, prevent hail and help extinguish fires, Xinhua said.

From 2001 to 2005, cloud seeding brought down 210 billion cubic meters of water over an area make up nearly a third of china's territory. (maybe they got lucky...with melting glaciers!
