While it might be true that us old "dogs" might not be able to learn new tricks, we can learn new wisdom's, stories, teachings and sometimes just those ta-dah moments when a light bulb goes off in your head and you say to your self, "Ah ha! I finally get it!" or "Awwww, so that's the missing like that's been absent for a few thousand years!"

Here is a place for those of you who would like to share;

What have you learned today!

I have learned that in these times, one can not rely on the National Weather service nor the Solar Weather service.

That, plus I have the most beautiful spirited friends here.

Today I learned that the April 28th dedication of the Sand Creek Massacre site in Colorado is a mere insult and exploitation of an historical massacre that should have never happened in the first place.

The Sand Creek site should be approached in humility, reverence and respect for those who were brutally murdered. Not turned into a money making, name dropping historical point of interest amusement. Let's not forget the ancestors are watching and last I heard they were restless.

The following is something I learned today. I am posting it "For Comparison" purposes and am in no way promoting under age smoking.

Like the author who found similarities and patterns of today's current government to that of fascism, totalitarianism, nazism, and mind control, I to have questioned the emergence of the tobacco tax's and tobacco police.

While it is true that smoking tobacco may be injurious to ones health, so is getting caught in the cross fire of Oil Man Bush's wars........

.. so is getting soaked by the mist of the terragators and spray planes who spray pesticides and herbicides on millions of acres of land daily - non stop........

...so is getting stuck in traffic jams on freeways and city streets, thus breathing the emissions of thousands of autos.......

....so is breathing and living next to chemical plants, oil refineries, coal generating electrical facilities, animal feed yards...all of which produce toxins and noxious fumes that would/are a career toxicologists dream come true...

The above mentioned is merely one drop in the bucket of the environmental hazards each and every one are forced to live every single day...

so ya, why target tobacco alone when there are enough other carcinogens pollutants on the planet to keep most cancer clinics or oncologists in the Fortune 500 for many decades to come.....

Today's Anti-Smoking Purge Is Borrowed From The Nazis
Smoking is healthier than fascism

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet

A wealth of overlooked yet frightening literature concerning the Nazi crusade against smoking provides a clear parallel to contemporary developments and an alarming warning that state restriction of personal habits is the pre-cursor to dictatorship.

Beginning in the early 1930's, as part of the Nazi agenda for racial purity, Hitler spearheaded a national campaign to ban smoking in all public buildings, and denounced the practice as a betrayal of the fascist drive for bodily purity.

"Brother national socialist, do you know that our Führer is against smoking and think that every German is responsible to the whole people for all his deeds and emissions, and does not have the right to damage his body with drugs?" stated one magazine.

As I wrote earlier this year, "The regulation of the personal habit of smoking, including new legislative moves in San Francisco to ban cigarettes in private homes, and its enforcement by an eager cadre of state snoops and snitches, represents nothing more than a move on behalf of big brother towards the complete subjugation and shackling of the individual."

Read these shocking parallels and compare them to the endless lecturing we are forced to endure today about our personal lifestyle choices by the state and their propaganda arm, the mass media.

- The Nazis banned tobacco advertising and financed huge public relations campaigns to propagandize people into giving up smoking.

- The Nazis banned smoking in government offices, civic transport, university campuses, rest homes, post offices, many restaurants and bars, hospital grounds and workplaces, and Hitler gave awards to associates who quit the habit.

- A ban on smoking in private vehicles was called for.

- The Nazi Reich Health Office warned that smoking caused impotence and produced posters depicting smoking as a dirty habit of Jews, Gypsies, blacks, intellectuals and Indians.

- Nazi lobbyists lectured terrified children in schools on the horrors of racial impurity as a result of smoking.

- The term "passive smoking" (Passivrauchen) was coined by the Nazi Anti-Tobacco League. Its author, Fritz Lickint, offered no supporting evidence to claim that smokers poisoned everyone around them, while also stating that drinking coffee caused cancer.

- Hitler was an ardent vegetarian and did not smoke or drink after the age of 30, even accrediting the rise of fascism to his success in kicking the habit. He forbade anyone from smoking in a room he might enter. Fellow fascist leaders Mussolini, Napoleon and Franco also detested smoking.

- The Nazi anti-smoking crusade was unleashed with the help of manufactured junk science on behalf of the medical and health establishment, one such example being that smoking caused "spontaneous abortions" in pregnant women.

- Hitler attempted to price out smoking for Germans, levying huge taxes on cigarettes.

- Despite the Nazi propaganda crusade against smoking, tobacco sales increased in Germany, leading some history professors to hypothesize that smoking was an act of cultural resistance against fascism, until the late 1930's after smoking was banned in most public buildings and tobacco sales rapidly declined.

What conclusions can we draw from these parallels? Either the Nazis were benign really cared about everyone's health or they used the specter of anti-smoking to exert massive control over people's lives and scale back basic freedoms, getting a foot in the door for the political dictatorship that was to follow.

Similarly today, either the same elite that advocate "mass culling" of the majority of the world's population really do care about public health and well-being or they are using the excuse of the anti-smoking drive to condition us to accept state regulation over every aspect of our personal lives.

It's all about control, it's all about letting you know who the bosses are. If the government can regulate personal habits and behavior, what's next? If the state is so concerned about our good health as they would have you believe, why not use the latest scientific advancements to remove that nasty aggressive gene that causes so much unhappiness? Well, you're causing those around you distress and harming their health so why not? Are your political opinions a mental illness? Are they harming society? Perhaps we should ban certain types of "free" speech that is offensive to others.

You see where this is all heading - how long before our wall mounted personal x-ray body scanners are accompanied by special smoke detectors that inform on you to the local Stasi if you dare to light up?

We live in a paranoid world overpopulated by ninnying jellyfish who dare not dip their toe in the water in case there's a law against it, it might upset someone, or it might be bad for their health.

Many people will read this article having lost loved ones as a result of smoking. Please don't have a knee jerk emotional reaction, try to understand that the point I'm making - smoking is unhealthy but it is healthier than fascism and government regulation of personal habits leads to dictatorship.

The fact that the very language and policies that we are now bombarded with as a justification for state regulation of our personal lifestyle choices are directly lifted from Nazi policies for racial hygiene from the 1930's should alarm us all and act as a wake up call to the true agenda behind today's anti-smoking purge.

Hi,

I recall hearing from an old friend once, back in the "Harris dictatorship days" when the whole anti smoking propaganda machine was just getting started. He was an A/V (audio/video) tech at a local store and had to set the p.a. system for what was apparently a testing area from what was to become Ontario's big anti smoking operation.

I remember him saying that they "government people" had set up a 'testing zone' to see how subjects (i believe they were teens) would respond to different anti smoking adds.

Anyways, I know that isn't much info, but it just came to mind when reading this and i thought i'd add my 2 cents to it.

Also, I understand your points Prairy, on both sides, be it external or internal pollutants. I heard an interesting quote on cbc news sunday last night, when i think it was Even Solomon who said, (paraphrasing) " Well, it appears that the majority of the population is becoming somewhat hypocritcal of their views and actions when it comes to the reduction of harmful emmisions."

Perhaps those conditioned under the element of hypocracy are merely perpeptuating it (hypocracy) because that is all they know?

greentreee- 04-30-2007
well,

today i have learned that i need to do some more reading!

http://www.zmag.org/chomsky/year/year-overview.html

I understand coming here is an excersise of this need, as well as, a form of what is called freedom of expression, at least is a more purer form. Perhaps due to us coming together, to share, and not for some simple material desire.

I find it interesting that even with such a law (freedom of expression),
that there appears to be a loop hole, in which it makes possible for others
to create truths which are in essence lies.

I see why GC likes to call them FICTIONS now.

till next time
breath well

Hi greentreee,
Thanks for your sharing in "what you learned today."

What I learned today is from your sharing of what you learned.

Sometimes the plain truths are hidden in plain sight, right out in front of everyone, yet it remains difficult for many to find or comprehend it.

QUOTE
".......create truths which are in essence lies."

I think so. It seems that when these "truth-lies" are created, the authors of said truth-lies begin to believe their own horse apples.

The governments 140 years of “quackery” is plucked from a slag heap of Looney Theories.

jackjustice- 05-05-2007
A LEARNED LESSON:

The governments cases have only evidence upon which a trier or a.k.a. "trickery of fact" could reasonably find all of us are frivolous and vexatious.

Nonetheless the cases are entitled to a decision that is supported by the factual reasons upon which it was said to be found.

Prairyearth- 05-05-2007
Hi Jack,
Great to learn that you are still here with us around the council fire.

GC, I am still catching up reading the messenger and "Queen visit" posts.

I'm also not functioning on all cylinder's as I have pneumonia and the weather is stomping on us and letting us know who's boss.

After considerable analysis of the 20 horse field, the Queen has determined the contenders to be curlin, street sense, nobiz like shobiz, scat daddy, dominican and hard spun.......then she narrowed it down to street sense, scat daddy and hardspun with the final nod going to street sense, but boxing those 3 in the exacta.

Yep I am back we won our civil cases on December 19, 2006 and the other side appealed with frivolous and vexatious reasons which should be thrown out on May 10, 2007 and we going to trial by jury boys and girls it is called accountability in dollars and sense.

Prairyearth- 05-07-2007
That's great news to hear JJ. Many blessings be with you and yours as this battle continues.

As for HRH, well, I can't bring myself to get to excited over the "Royal" protocol. I understand and respect various cultural differences and protocols world wide.

And, I am a very forgiving person.

However, I have not forgotten the Genocides and Enslavement of my Ancestors when they lived on lands taken over by HR H's family. My G-Grandfather was forced to feed his family a meager meal by spending as much as 10-12 hours a day on his belly in standing water deep in Mother earth's womb. Other children trying to stay warm were imprisoned for cutting under brush.

It's easy to understand why thousands fled HR H's oppressive and sick kingdom to come to Turtle Island, enticed and captivated by the deceptive words of the torch bearing harlot, that would ensnare and enslave them in the Americas for hundreds of years.

There is a whole planet to fix and detoxify. Nothing has yet to change my mind in regard to the condition of the World today and the shape it is under these oppressors. I continue to Stand my Ground.

Dear Prairy,

First KNOW your target before you take aim. She is--Your Royal Majesty not
Highness for not to know this denotes ones lack of understanding of the problem at hand. Mud slinging mud on a one to one basis just leads to building a larger wall that continues to divide us. The Bank of England has more power than any potentate and ALWAYS has sustained that power.

Lately WE sound JUST as obstinate with our continued belief that the great problem
is SO external that divides us. I feel that ALL of these monumental molehills shall take care of themselves, as they always have in the past. WE are of the now and a little SWEETNESS mixed with our virtrolic overflow would suffice in order to bring us together toward a common cause---which should be us "Chillin's"---that's chidren for you novices.

I feel we should climb a few hills closer to home before we tackle Mount Everest.
Think about it.

Lightseeker---the real GhostChild---who lives among you...

Prairyearth- 05-11-2007
Hi Ghostchild Lightseeker,
Point well taken. No climbing Mt. Everest for me. I'm weary and the day is almost done.

Hope you are well?

Thanks for the reality check.

Here is a bulletin I read today written by Daniel Wilson is co-chair of the New Democratic Party Aboriginal Commission. Hmmm, I'm not sure about this revolution thingie. What do you think? Are the "Natives" getting restless?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A long, hot summer/ The Revolution Is Coming
May 11, 2007 04:30 AM
Daniel Wilson

There is trouble in Indian country. A long, hot summer is coming, to be
marked by a National Day of Action on June 29.

In first-year sociology, my professor discussed how revolutions are
provoked. He explained that they do not arise when people are scratching for
food because they are too busy. Nor do they occur when people are engaged in
making things better, because people have hope.

Trouble arises when oppressed people see matters getting worse, when young
people lose hope for the next generation. In particular, trouble happens
when poor people feel ignored and blamed for their situation and when they
have time on their hands.

While in Canada's foreign service, working with refugees in Southeast Asia
and Africa, I had occasion to confirm this hypothesis over and over again.
what I see developing concerns me. Remember Oka, Gustafson Lake and
Ipperwash? The denial and tough talk from the government, the increasingly
heated rhetoric from First Nations leaders?

A few recent items:

Bay of Quinte Mohawks barricading train tracks in Deseronto, then moving
their protest to the steps of the Ontario Legislature with a promise of
"escalation" to come.

Pimicikamak First Nations occupying a Manitoba hydro station in Cross Lake.

The Six Nations protest in Caledonia settling into its 15th month.

300 Joint Task Force North members conducting military exercises that Dehcho
Chief Herb Norwegian deems intimidation aimed at his ongoing battle with the
federal government over the Mackenzie Valley pipeline.

When it came to power, the Conservative party tried to moderate its image
through Indian Affairs Minister Jim Prentice, someone with experience in
these issues.

Yet government actions have grown progressively more hostile. Witness
statements undermining the residential schools agreement, refusal to sign
the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, a hard line on every
negotiation, and refusal to accept any responsibility for the Caledonia
situation.

The March budget offered little hope that attitudes will change. Prentice's
comments about enough money having been spent already lead people to
conclude they can expect no help from this government. Ever.

The apparently deliberate provocation is meeting a predictable response. The
question is what people of good conscience are to do.

Tuesday, the Ontario government made a constructive suggestion for an
independent land claims arbitrator. The intervention of third parties makes
sense, but should not be limited to land claims. There are a host of issues
that must be addressed, relating to breaches of other aboriginal and treaty
rights and to the cause and maintenance of aboriginal poverty.

None of these issues can be left responsibly in the hands of the current
federal government.

In Australia, money issues concerning "Aborigines" are put to an independent
fiscal relations body. A similar concept could provide an unbiased view on
whether the $9 billion Ottawa claims to be spending is truly sufficient, and
whether it is administered effectively.

This process is faster and cheaper than the court system and avoids the
conflict of interest in which the federal bureaucracy finds itself.

The United Nations intervenes around the globe, generally in the
underdeveloped world. Here, they only need intervene in that part of Canada
that we have shamefully relegated to "Third World" status.

The UN mediates a wide variety of conflicts, usually starting work after
violence erupts. We have the opportunity here to establish trust before
trouble escalates, opening the door to a wider reconciliation.

Third party intervention isn't easy. The two principle players must be
willing to suspend the exercise of its own authority to follow the advice of
another. They must put aside self-interest and personal ego for the
betterment of all.

And it needs to happen before the long, hot summer begins.

Prairyearth- 06-03-2007
Lightseeker (crazy corn),
A few of us have been wondering how goes it in your part of the world? Such as with Ants, bees, clouds and things? We have had some terrific and horrific weather here in our neck of the woods. A few fingers of God raked by, one to our north, one to our south. We also have had much beneficial rains. The corn, gourds, squash, sunflowers, castor beans are all germinating and springing from the ground The herbs are all doing terrific. One concern is a lack of toads, yet the frogs are abundant. There are many more sitings of bees, bumble bees (giant 747 types) and honey bee than there were earlier in the year when a head count stood at zero. The hummingbird moths have returned and there are so many songbirds in our yard, I shake my head in amazement. So many babies. Every morning that's the first thing I hear is the bird song and I wake up smiling. Absolutely love it.

A few things I have learned over the past few days are;

All about the word bad juju. A curious term I had never hear before, but must have been around for centuries.

The other thing is about the flights of some Peregrine falcons. These birds really cover some ground - or I should say sky. If you want you can check them out at;

Many Blessings of Peace and Hope be to All,
