Prairy, Thanks, I will PM you later! Now I am drained and exhausted! I woke up again very early and did not go back to sleep. Perhaps, you are right GhostChild, Mr Lennon had it right? Maybe, though there are those just never worthy of that love and doomed to never have it! I certainly do not have the answere to that one! Thanks to all for the help! This train wreck is getting a cup of tea and going to take a nap, until time to go work for the man, so to speak! I hate not being my own employer! Indigo

Greetings, beautiful people.
IndigoStar: However, anyone who may have an input, your thought will be greatly appreciated!
I found this book at a used book store and it sat around for weeks without even being opened ... then one day I got bored and had nothing better to do so I picked it up and now I'm simply stunned at the insights it gives about women's dreams ... and so many other important things to know.
GoodHands,Thanks. I am having trouble opening the link,so I will try getting nit another way. I will get back when I get more Info. Seedling
Prairyearth- 02-02-2007
Thanks GoodHands. I will join IndigoSeedling in reading from the link you suggested. I think the link works, just needed a space between the title link and the link itself which is; http://www.elexion.com/lakota/textos/texto31b.htm
The first synchronicity with your sharing of these excerpts from Clarissa Pinkola Estes book, was Singing over the bones. Wow, just the name of the title was an eye opener for me.
I, too, will be back later to discuss. Prairy
GoodHands- 02-02-2007
Yup, you're right, Prairy ... I goofed up by not making a space between them. But then that's my specialty, you know ... goofing up the details.
Thanks for fixing the link. This book, beyond the excerpts they posted, just keeps amazing me more and more as I get further into it. I'm about half way through it now and its hard to put down. Sometimes I burst out laughing at her metaphors and sometimes I can't stop myself from saying "damn straight" out loud.
There's a story in there about a fisherman who hooks the bones of a young girl who had been cast into the sea by her father and how he can't get her bones off his hook and they just keep rattling along behind him, taunting him, until he finally stops and begins to gently untangle them and to treat them with a caring heart. In the end he is rewarded abundantly. Of course that's my very inadaquate and radically abbreviated version of the story. Its just one of the most amazing chapters in the book ... at least I think so. So far.

IndigoStar ... Seedling. I love your new name. It reminds me of the two kinds of seedlings residing in my garden, those that are so tenacious and tough (mostly the weeds, of course) and the others that are so fragile and tender. Sometimes it seems like the fragile ones are pleading with me to sprinkle them with some kind of magic dust to make them hardier and I think how good it would be good to have a great big supply of magic dust in the garden shed.

Wow! The bits and pieces I am getting are great! I think I will try to get a copy of Estes book!
There has been more to this dream, some of which really concerns me? So here I go again asking for all of your wise council!
I am submerged in water, however I can breath fine. I am search frantically for things... not sure just what they are yet! It is like a race if I get to it there is well being and balance if not death and turbulence? I find my first "thing" a round stone disk with some kind of writing on it I have never seen before? For a while everything is calm and I am back onthe surface again..... as I get out onto land it is not water I am wet with, but blood? The man from before is standing in front of me again! As before he is asking me to make a choice.... I must tell him what the round stone object says or there will be the start of death and turbulence! That is where I wake up cold, wet, and blood over my body. Thinking somehow I do know what it says and means, but not able to remember! And I do not watch horror movies? However, it seems like I am dreaming one? Seedling

Good morning Seedling. I don’t know if this man is light or dark, you've only mentioned that he had salt and pepper hair, so I'm assuming that the pepper indicates dark. I don't know if this will help at all, but here are some thoughts from the Estes book on "The Dark Man in Women’s Dreams". I have left out a lot and paraphrased much for the sake of brevity.
… There is a strong physical aspect to having a dream of the dark man. The dream is often accompanied by sweats, struggles, hoarse breathing, heart pounding and sometimes cries and moans of fear from the dreamer. We could say the dream maker has dispensed with subtle messages to the dreamer and now sends images which shake the neurological and autonomic nervous system of the dreamer, thereby communicating the urgency of the matter.
The antagonists of this “dark man” dream are usually, in women’s own words, terrorists, rapists, thugs, concentration camp Nazis, marauders, murderers, criminals, creeps, bad men, thieves. There are several levels to the interpretation of such a dream.
For instance, often such a dream is a reliable indicator that:
The woman has just, or is about to discover and begin liberating a forgotten and captive function of her psyche. In this circumstance the dream is about increasingly intolerable situation in the culture outside the dreamers personal life, one that she is being called to either fight or flee.
The dark man dream tells a woman what predicament she is facing. If the woman can consciously gain hold of the key question about this matter and answer it honestly, she can be set free.
The dark man dream indicates that a psychic change from one level of knowing and behavior to another more mature or energetic level of knowledge and action is imminent. It creates a passageway to a new manner of knowing and being.
Other indicators:
The woman’s psychic circumstances are too quiescent or complacent. To raise a storm in the psyche so some energetic work can be done. The dreamer has gotten caught in some hiatus or ennui regarding a difficult choice and she is reluctant to take the next step and she is shying away from wresting her own power from the predator
Dark man dreams are wake up calls. Something has gone radically amiss in the outer world, in personal life, or in the outer collective culture, (dark man dreams come in legions when the outer world intrudes on the basic soul life on a large scale.)

Hi Indy, I have been considering your dream for several hours now and will share more when I get done researching and intuiting, so to speak, lol Goodhands has brought up some very good points for you to ponder over.
One question to you, what is your opinion of Dropa or Ica Stones? Many think they are hoaxes, others feel there is something more to them.
Just a thought while I am researching and pondering other dream symbolisms (as well as the family name mentioned in another thread, which I can't help but wonder if the two don't tie in together some how.)
Thanks for your patience, and welcome others comments regarding your dream. Prairy
IndigoStar- 02-03-2007
Thank You, GoodHands! I really do have to get a copy of that book! I am going to do much meditating on what you have given me.
Prairy, First of all I think it is very possible the Dropa Stones are what they appear to be! Also, the Dropa tribe people! It is very peculiare that they have blue irises and are Asian? But, more to the point look and research the Dali Llama and his connection to Shambala/ Shangrala(Spelling?) He alone, is said to know the way? And let us not forget Atlantis.... As I have been told when destroyed those left were to spread to the four corners of the world? I strongly believe they did just that! I do not think they are a hoax!
As for my dream, I have an uneasy feeling about it at this point! I think Loki is playing with me, if you know what I mean? If not as I told GhostChild in a PM, I am not sure if I am going to survive in this dream? It seem like a test or sacrifice that must be made? I just haven't got enough of a good grip on it yet? I did not think about it being connected to the names! I must admitt I don't do well with ancestory searches. I am not sure I have mentioned this man in detail in the first part of the dream? He is always wearing a cerimonial mask of sorts... he seems familar, yet not? I am thinking of confronting an old "school associate," for info on Loki palying in my dreams... I would rather not,but ya know what they say," Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer!) Guess, that's the Apachee in me? Will think more on the Dropa. Respectfully, Seedling

Dear Indigo Seedling, I haven't done much on-line dream-work for some time now, i.e. symbolic vision/dream interpretation advice, for various reasons. However, I can sense the anxiety this dream is causing you, so I will try to help you out to the best of my ability. Remember, you, yourself hold the key to understanding and solving your dream. I know to you, that this dream you are having can be frustrating and even scary, but it need not be this way for long.
Is Loki involved with your dream? Well, perhaps Loki visits all our dreams from time to time. Either way, you still have the ability to get to the bottom of the dream and find out.
I see your dream as starting out in the comfort zone, sort of like how a baby can survive in amniotic fluid of the womb. As you emerge out of that safe environment/cocoon, you are surrounded by the fact that you are a mortal, tethered to the family of humanity and to the earth by blood.
The man in the mask....you know him. What kind of mask is he wearing? Look at what the mask symbolically represents. There is a test going on, no doubt about it. The tricky part of this test lies within your dream realm. If you should have this dream again, remember it is taking place in a different environment, and you have the ability to find out who is behind the mask. Tell the man to take off the mask and identify himself or you will take it off for him. Be firm about this! And don't worry, you will not be harmed by doing this in your dreamtime or otherwise.
Before you go to bed, you can instruct yourself that you want an answer to this dream, and that you will remember the dream and answer when you awake. Night after night instruct yourself before falling asleep and you will get an answer.
Ask yourself what the words or symbols are that are written on stone.
I am sending prayers and intentions your way, surrounding you with protection and goodness. No harm will come to you from having this dream. If Loki is playing in this dream, it is in the feeling you are receiving of doom and not surviving this dream, You are much stronger in spirit than that. Of course you will survive. Remember, all mortals bodies die at some time or other anyway, but this does not mean it is the end of our spirit life, no, to the contrary, we do live on. Have courage of a warrior going in to your dreams. Nothing can stop you from finding out the truth, you are invincible in your dream - most of all, have no fear. If all else, ask for reinforcements in your dreamtime, because as you will figure out sooner or later, you are not alone, there are always entities and other spirit warriors only more than happy to help you out.
I hope this has helped you somewhat, and please also remember, this is my opinion, and mine alone. There are many others who are capable and can help you get to the bottom of this dream.
Blessings of courage, strength and hope be with you, Prairyearth
IndigoStar- 02-04-2007
Wow, So much to digest! The Loki I speak of is here among us and is flesh and blood! The mask is what I call a cerimonila mask. It is red, black, and yellow. It is like a long birds beak? I don't think I know this man, but he sounds familar to me? I have asked him to take off the mask and he laughs at me! He get so close I can feel his breath on me,but if I try to move or reach for the mask I can't!
I wish I did have the courage of a warrior.... Lately I do not feel so couragous! Perhaps, I will be too tired to dream tonight... I have to work the Superbowl party tongiht! Great tips, but tired feet!
I know that dreams are just that, but I know they can be much more too! I think I am not sure I can live up to this test? And I am not sure what this man wants from me if I do not? I have never ben in a situation where I feel so at the mercy of somone and where Ii am not in control!
Thank You, for the insight and I will try what you have suggested. Respectfully, Seedling

GoodHands, and Prairy. You both have been a great help in this! I now have a question for either of you or anyone how might have an input? What do you know of the "Invisible World or the Unseen world? And the"Dark Night of The soul!" I have bits and pieces of both can anyone out here tie it together for me? Would appreciate any info! I had to order a copy of Estes book,so can't wait to read it! Do you believe that our life force and energy is connected to both our physical and invisible world or dream space? Reespectfully, Seedling
GoodHands- 02-06-2007
Oh, I'm so glad you ordered the book, Seedling! I'm almost through it now, but will have to read it again, at least certain parts of it.
And yes, I definitely do believe there is a strong connection between the dream space and our physical lives and that we all receive instructions and messages from the invisible world. The interpretation is usually the hard part.
I don't know why, but it strikes me that the man in your dreams may be challenging you to remember something from your past, or maybe its something that you know instinctively and need to bring to your consciousness, but have been ignoring. Like you know what those symbols mean, but would really rather not know and he's getting pushy because you're not paying close enough attention .... or something like that.
Its something to think about, but please take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, because it may just be my imagination working overtime.
Love, GoodHands

Hi IndigoSeedling, Yes, I do.
As for the "Invisible World" and the "Unseen World," that covers a vast area. I don't have all the answers, however, if you could narrow it down a bit, in other words, what part of the unseen world are you seeking more knowledge about, then perhaps we could all share what knowledge we do possess with you.
As to your question about the "Dark Night of the Soul," I'm not certain which you are talking about, that is a vast area. All I know is that it might be at 3 A.M. Maybe someone else know about this more than I. Goodhands? Any Ideas? Anyone Else? Prairy
